Nachtzwemmen
for oboe, soprano and doublebass – 2016 – 4′
for oboe, soprano and doublebass – 2016 – 4′
text by Hagar Peeters.
Elements of deep symbolism triggered the choice of the poem and the dramaturgy of the piece. The voice becomes breath, sweet, speech and deep intention, almost blending with the oboe in creating beatings of high pitches, while the doublebass adds depth in a low and agile writting.
Developed during the project «Eendagslied» in Amsterdam, with Katinka van Driezum (ob.), Frederike Palmen (sopr.) and Hinse Mutter (cb.).
